All was there and still nothing
A long hall of fear and no hand to hold
A fleeting glance and a disappearing shadow
My heart craved a hand to wipe tears
It was spring but love felt autumn
Thoughts still waiting to meld with other
A smile in dark wishing to be seen
A eye with plea, hoping to be read
Aeons passed for the wait of a moment
Hands dried in wake of the summer
Is it death or a dream gone wrong?
For the parrot still sits, eyes on the road
The road is gone, the tree is cut
Warm is no more, cold took over
Sun will shine, but now its night
Life moves on, the day is over
